Why we are interested, and why you might be, too.

Recently there has been a lot of buzz around "What The Health", a Netflix documentary that  explores healthy living, the food industry, and the benefits of a vegan lifestyle. While watching the film, we learned about the links between foods such as processed meat and dairy, and an increased risk of developing heart disease, some types of cancer, and diabetes. It even got some of the Colour team interested in going vegan!  Here’s some of what we’ve learned so far.

Main Rules of a Vegan Diet

1. No Animal Meat

2. No Animal Products (I.e Cheese, Milk, Eggs, Etc).


Benefits of Being Vegan

Reduced Risks of Chronic Diseases

By eliminating foods such as processed meats and unhealthy sugars from your diet, you are actively decreasing your chances of cancer, diabetes, heart diseases, high blood pressure and more.


It's Environmentally Friendly

Raising animals for food produces more greenhouse gas emissions than every form of transportation combined. Switching to a vegan diet helps save 50% more carbon emissions than driving a Prius.


Healthier Skin and Healthier Hair

A vegan diet forces us to increase our fruit and vegetable intake, so many people see an immense improvement in their skin and hair. Going vegan may  help you reach your full potential when it comes to hair growth and glowing skin.


More Energy

Another positive result many people see from going vegan is an increase in energy. We don't know about you ladies but we will take more energy wherever we can find it!
